Could you use some good news today? Some encouragement? Some hope? Do you need to be reminded of God’s Truth — the whole Truth — and nothing but the Truth? Read on and find ten reasons to take heart today:
1. Your life is not meaningless, random, accidental, or insignificant. Every single day you live and breathe has been ordained for you by your Creator. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…” (Jer 1:5) “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'” (Jer 29:11) “All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.” (Ps 139:16)
2. You are never abandoned, forsaken, rejected, or alone. “God Himself has said, ‘I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let you down (relax My hold on you)! Assuredly not!'” (Heb 13:5 AMP)
3. There is NOTHING that can EVER separate you from His love. “Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom 8:38-39T)
4. Because of Jesus, you don’t bear the burden of your sins. That debt has been paid. You don’t live in bondage to your sins. You have been set free. “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” (Eph 1:7) “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 Jn 1:9)
5. Every day is a new beginning, a fresh start, another opportunity to walk in the light of His love. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning…” (Lam 3:22-23) “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” (Heb 4:16)
6. You are already equipped for every challenge you face. “By His divine power, He has given us everything we need to live and to serve God. We have these things because we know Him.” (2 Pet 1:3) “But He said to me, ‘My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness.’ Therefore I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!” (2 Cor 12:9) “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Phil 4:13)
7. You may lose a few battles, but you can’t lose the war — that victory has already been won. “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Rom 8:37) “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.” (Rom 16:20)
8. The pain and suffering of this life has a purpose — and a time limit. “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2 Cor 4:16-18) “And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” (1 Pet 5:10)
9. What awaits you will be worth every tear you have cried. “God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.'” (Rev 21:3-4) “Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength.” (1 Cor 15:42-43)
10. It won’t be long now. “It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye…” (1 Cor 15:52) “Look, He is coming with the clouds and every eye will see Him…” (Rev 1:7) ” He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming soon.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!” (Rev 22:20)
