Hey Sweet Friends,
On Monday — a week from today — we begin our seventh annual free online summer Bible study for women — Virtual VBS (Vacation Bible School) for GrownUp Girls®! Hope you can join us… we’ve got so many exciting things planned.
A Little Background…
A Little Background…
Our Bible study began as a blog series I started right after I first launched my website… and it grew and grew into something beyond my wildest dreams! Now women from all over the world participate — it’s become a tradition we all look forward to every year.
A few years ago, in response to feedback from many of our participants, we moved the study to a private Facebook group. Some women had been confused about where to find each week’s materials and where to respond (Here on the blog? Or on social media, where they ran across a repost?). Our conversations got scattered all across the internet, with some women commenting here, some on Facebook or Instagram or even Twitter or Pinterest. Others messaged me privately because they preferred not to post personal comments or prayer requests in a publicly visible space.
It turns out that for most of us, a private Facebook group was the answer. We’ve found it’s much easier to read posts, comment, and share — even from our mobile devices during our summer travels — and this way, we’re all in one (virtual) place.
If you don’t do Facebook, please read on — there’s an alternative. We want everyone who wants to be a part of VBS to be able to participate!

How: Every Monday, I’ll share a passage from Philippians for you to read and reflect on… you can respond and/or study these Scriptures during your own quiet time. Throughout the week, I’ll also share some devotional thoughts, discussion questions, videos, special guests, or opportunities to post prayer requests. Of course, because it’s VBS, we’ll also have a few songs, crafts, and snack ideas, just for fun! Your level of participation is TOTALLY UP TO YOU. No pressure or stress, just a sweet time of study and fellowship together.
Who: You! And any women you want to invite — friends, family, church family — the more the merrier… (Just make sure you ask their permission before you add them to our group!)
Every year, we have groups of women who decide to meet in person as well as online — and that’s fabulous! If you’re hosting one of these groups, please let me know. I’d love to say hello via FaceTime.
So looking forward to sharing this special time with you!
Blessings,
Christin
